Massage Services
Introductory Massage
When you arrive, we'll ask you to fill out an intake that will allow us to customize the massage to meet your needs. (The intake time does NOT count towards your massage time.) You can also download the intake off our Homepage, fill it out and bring it with you.
After the massage, your therapist will let know which muscles could be involved in your pain/tightness/tension issues. Then your therapist will explain how your problem areas were addressed and will have suggestions for helping you to stay out of pain.
Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage can help combat the stress of daily life by helping to turn off our habitual flight-or-fight response and give our minds and bodies a break from stress hormones. But there's more to relaxation massage than a one time serotonin and dopamine bump-up.
When done regularly, relaxation massage can be an important tie-in to adhering to a wellness program. In other words, one healthy habit leads to other healthy habits. Having a lot of healthy habits keep you on the wellness path. If you happen to stray, having healthy habits that make you feel good, like relaxation massage, help get you back on track fast.
Relaxation massage is often combined with pain relief massage. An example of this would be if you'd slept wrong and had a stiff neck. Then you'd probably want the massage therapist to do some focus work on your neck while relaxing you during the course of the massage.

Pain Relief Massage
Research has indicated that there is a sweet spot with pressure that produces an optimal pain relief response. That said, the perfect pain relief pressure for you may be different than it is for someone else. It's our job to figure that out.
So, to get you maximum pain relief, in addition to doing a comprehensive intake, we do a palpation assessment during the massage which provides us with the best information to establish the appropriate pressure and work a customized plan. Ultimately, you, the client, are in charge of what pressure feels best to you.
Fibromyalgia and neck/back pain clients often seek out pain relief massage during flare-ups and/or as part of a pain management routine. Will pain-relief massage help you with your condition? The short answer is depending on what you have, it may. Our goal is not to sell you on massage. It's to help you find solutions for your pain, condition or injury. That's why we collaborate with area health and sports professionals to help you reach your goals.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage targets deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. Our skilled therapists use slow, deliberate strokes and firm pressure to break up adhesions and alleviate tightness. By focusing on specific problem areas, we aim to reduce the feeling of tightness and promote muscle recovery. Whether you're an athlete, dealing with postural issues, or simply need a thorough, invigorating massage, our deep tissue therapy provides effective, tailored solutions to restore mobility and ease discomfort. If you are having trouble deciding between Deep Tissue Massage, Pain Relief Massage and Relaxation Massage, don't sweat it - just pick one. We can mix and blend the different massage types to deliver the massage you want.
Sports Massage
Serious and casual runners, bikers, swimmers, golfers and tennis players use sports massage for muscle recovery and performance optimization. Sports massage can have elements of both specific work (e.g., focusing on tight calves) and general body work.
Sports massage right before a workout or competitive event is geared to provide the athlete with the feeling of muscles "ready to go". So that typically means less focus work and more general work. Sports massage right after a competitive event typically involves some focus work on highly taxed muscles.
Sports massage as part of a training regiment typically combines elements of specific and general work. If you are recovering from an injury and working with a PT facility, we'll coordinated care with that facility to make sure that we're all on the same page.
Pre-Natal Massage
Our pre-natal massage service is designed to provide expecting mothers with a safe and soothing experience tailored to their unique needs. Our skilled therapists are trained in techniques that address common discomforts during pregnancy, such as back pain, swelling, and muscle tension. Using specialized pillows and bolsters, we ensure proper positioning and support, allowing clients to relax fully and comfortably. Our focus is on promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and enhancing overall well-being, making this a valuable addition to any pregnancy care plan.
Oncology Massage
Our oncology massage service is dedicated to providing gentle, compassionate care to clients undergoing cancer treatment. Our specially trained therapists use modified massage techniques to accommodate the unique needs and sensitivities of those affected by cancer. We focus on promoting relaxation, reducing pain, and improving overall quality of life. By carefully considering each client's medical history and current treatment plan, we ensure a safe and comforting experience that supports physical and emotional well-being during this challenging time.
